Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Graham Potter as head coach, as he succeeds Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked on Wednesday morning.
Tuchel was believed to have a difficult relationship with the relatively new Chelsea hierarchy, and a decision was made to sack him after a poor start to the season.
Chelsea have lost games against Leeds United and Southampton in the league, while their Champions League campaign started off with a defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.
To replace him, Chelsea have hired Potter, who is admired for his work at Brighton and the Blues were quick to make a move for him.

Potter is expected to lead the team this weekend, following his first training session on Friday before a match against London rivals Fulham on Saturday afternoon at Craven Cottage.
Upon his appointment on Thursday afternoon, Potter said: “I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club.”
He added: “I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.”

Chelsea have spent big to get the former Brighton manager, and will continue to fork out the big bucks to keep him at the club, as they’ve handed him a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
They paid £15 million to Brighton to get him off his contract, and they’ve handed the 47-year-old a £12 million-a-season deal, worth £60 million over the length of his deal.
Potter will be joined at Chelsea by recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay, assistant Billy Reid and coach Bjorn Hamberg, who all worked with him at Ostersunds, Swansea City and Brighton.
This isn’t the first time Brighton and Chelsea have done business this year, following the transfer of Marc Cucurella from the Amex Stadium to London, while Billy Gilmour went the other way.
