Arsenal could pull back to the top of the Premier League table with victory over Liverpool on Sunday, and Gabriel Jesus has been a large part of the reason why.

Jesus arrived at Arsenal - alongside Oleksandr Zinchenko - in a £45 million (€51.2m) deal from Manchester City this summer, and has wasted little time in making an impact at the Emirates.

The Brazilian has plundered five goals and three assists in the Premier League at a rate of one every 92 minutes he has played, and another victory on Sunday would lift Arsenal two points clear of his former employers.

But it's not just his influence on the pitch which has made him one of the signings of the summer league-wide, but also the experience four league titles with City brings with it.

Martinelli: 'he's a great guy'

"It means a lot to play with him and have the connection we do, I can learn a lot of things from him," said Jesus's fellow Brazilian Gabriel, Martinelli. "He's a very good guy and not just me but all the players are very happy with him. On and off the pitch he's a great guy.

"He always tries to give advice to us - go in behind or come short to play. When he makes one movement, we do another one, so he always tries to help us with these details, and they're so important.

"It's been unbelievable being part of this front four. All of them are very good players. Me, Jesus, [Martin] Odegaard… Fabio Vieira as well in the Europa League on Thursday, and the other players who are starting are big players and we have a very good team."

Jesus's value has already climbed to €59m per Football Transfers' in-house algorithm, and if he can add to his five career goals against Liverpool on Saturday, it will climb even more, potentially alongside Arsenal's league position.
