The 23-year-old full-back has become a regular under Erik ten Hag this season, and his form for the Old Trafford side has caught the attention of the Blaugrana, who are still yet to solve their right-back conundrum.

Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Sergi Roberto and Hector Bellerin have all played at right-back for Barcelona in recent times, with Xavi yet to decide on his preferred choice in the position.

As a result, they are in the market for reinforcements in that area, with sporting director Jordi Cruyff confirming the club aren't done with their huge spending yet.

Dalot is seen as the perfect option to improve the Blaugrana's backline, but the player himself would rather stay put in Manchester than move to Camp Nou, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Portuguese international is into the final year of his current deal at Man Utd, leaving the door ajar for Barcelona to swoop. However, reports suggest that Dalot is keen to extend his contract at the club he joined from FC Porto back in 2018.

Despite the investment in former Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka in 2019, Dalot is the only Man Utd player to start all 13 games this campaign, with the 23-year-old clearly Ten Hag's preferred choice.

But, Man Utd are reportedly yet to open discussions over a new deal for Dalot, which could become problematic if Barcelona's interest becomes concrete.

What clubs want to sign Dalot?

As well as Barcelona, Dalot is also of interest to the likes of AC Milan, Roma, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid, with his form at the start of the 2022/23 catching the eyes of scouts across Europe.

Dalot spent time on loan at AC Milan two seasons ago and wanted to sign him in 2021, but were not able to secure a deal. Borussia Dortmund also expressed their interest in purchasing Dalot last summer, while Atletico are said to have enquired about the availability of the Portuguese full-back earlier this year.
