The truth over Ronaldo’s ‘bust-up’ with Ten Hag
Cristiano Ronaldo has NOT had a bust-up with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag over tactics and his lack of playing time, according to Fabirizio Romano.
A story broke in The Times at the weekend which reported that Ronaldo had been involved in a furious disagreement with Ten Hag.

The Portuguese star was said to have complained to Ten Hag privately about his lack of minutes, as well as the quality of the Dutchman’s training sessions.
But this report is not true, according to Romano.
What did Romano say about Ronaldo?
“One big story that caught my eye this weekend was full of speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo not being happy under Erik ten Hag, but I want to make it clear that’s not what I’m hearing at all,” Romano wrote in his Caught Offside column.
“I’m always getting the same information about Cristiano – no problem during training sessions or similar, and I’m told the mood has always been good between players, they also know that the Ten Hag project needs time.
“Of course Ronaldo is not happy to be on the bench so often, but that’s absolutely normal for a top player with a winning mentality like him.”
Cristiano is still understood to want to leave Man Utd in January, having initially issued a transfer request in July.
Ronaldo cited his desire to join a club that is in the Champions League and could challenge for major trophies.
His agent Jorge Mendes offered him out to numerous clubs around Europe, including Chelsea, PSG, Napoli, Roma and Bayern, without finding a taker.
Ronaldo has only scored one goal in 2022-23, a penalty in the Europa League against Sheriff.
He has been benched for the last five Premier League games.
