The Blaugrana signed Hector Bellerin on the final day of the transfer window but they want another option who has shown more fitness and consistency in recent times.

In addition to Bellerin, the likes of Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto have all played there this season and Barcelona are chasing a more permanent solution to this problem.

Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot was one of their targets, and they have now found out how much they would have to pay to secure his signature from the English club.

Man Utd set Dalot asking price

Dalot is in the final year of his contract but it’s expected that Manchester United will trigger an option that will allow them to extend his deal for another year, before working on a long-term deal.

It’s believed that this option will be triggered before the January transfer window in order avoid losing the player on a free transfer in 2023.

However, Barcelona are still maintaining their interest and will continue to do so even after the option is triggered, and in order to make some money, Manchester United have named their price for the player.

According to Diario Sport, Manchester United will be hoping to make some profit on Dalot, and will ask Barcelona to pay a fee of around €25 million if the Catalan club want to sign the Portuguese player in January.

Dalot has been Manchester United’s first-choice right-back this season and has been in good form at the start of the season under new manager Erik ten Hag, who appreciates his attacking qualities.

Ten Hag will want to keep the Portuguese player at Old Trafford as he fits his ideal profile, and would be open to shifting other right-backs that he has at his disposal.
