Liverpool and Juventus eye Mount move after Chelsea contract uncertainty
Mason Mount is stalling on a new contract at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea facing the real possibility of losing the England star on a free transfer at the end of next season.
The Blues spent more than €280 million on new players in the summer, Todd Boehly's first transfer window as the new owner, but Mount, an academy graduate, remains one of their best players.
He has been a regular in Graham Potter's side, and Thomas Tuchel's before that, as he is one of few reliable players in the Chelsea squad.

As such, his looming free agency will attract interest from a number of Europe's top clubs.
Indeed, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Juventus are keeping tabs on Mount's contract situation.
''The 23-year-old has only 18 months left on his Stamford Bridge contract, and though discussions have carried on from the summer, they have since been put on hold for Mount to focus on the World Cup, and will not resume until January,'' the Daily Mail reports.
''His current deal makes him one of the lowest-paid players in Graham Potter's side, despite the fact that the 23-year-old has proven himself to be one of Chelsea's key players over several seasons now.''

Reece James example
Chelsea agreed terms with Mount's teammate Reece James in September, making him the highest-paid defender in the history of the club - quite a statement considering John Terry, Ashley Cole and, recently, Thiago Silva have played for the west London club.
As a more attacking player, Mount will hope to at least match James' £250,000-a-week (€285,300) wages, which is around three times what he currently earns.
