Ronaldo has wanted to leave Manchester United since the end of last season and has had poor relations with new manager Erik ten Hag.

This hasn’t been the first instance of Ronaldo’s bad behaviour this season and he has previously been suspended from the first-team earlier in the season.

Now, he’s set to receive a massive fine for his actions and it’s going to cost him big as he seemingly enters his final days as a Manchester United player.

Ronaldo set for massive Man Utd fine

According to Metro, Ronaldo is set to be fined two weeks’ wages at Manchester United as a result of his statements on Morgan’s interview show which were revealed on Saturday night.

That will amount to a total £1 million, as Ronaldo is currently on a contract of about £500,000-per-week, making him the club’s highest earner.

It’s been reported that Manchester United – right from management to the players – are disappointed with Ronaldo’s actions and Ten Hag is furious with his comments.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo said about Ten Hag. “If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never going to have respect for you.”

He also said he felt betrayed by the club: "Yes, not only the coach, but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed."

When asked whether the club was trying to get rid of him, he said: "People should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed and I felt like some people don't want me here, not only this year but last year too."

He also later criticized the club’s lack of progress from the time of his first stint there, when he left in 2009, and felt they needed changes.
