Dortmund want Mac Allister to replace Bellingham
Borussia Dortmund are lining up a replacement for Jude Bellingham should he leave the club in the next year, and they’ve identified Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister as an option.
Bellingham is a target for Europe’s top clubs and is likely to leave in 2023, with Real Madrid and Liverpool being the frontrunners for his signature.
He is likely to fetch them a big fee as well, with Dortmund looking for upwards of €130 million for the English midfielder, and they have proven to be tough negotiators in the past.

As a result, the German side are already looking for replacements to succeed Bellingham and Brighton’s Argentine star is a top option for them.
Dortmund target Mac Allister
Mac Allister has had a steady rise with Brighton over the last few years, having signed for them from Boca Juniors in 2019 and becoming one of the Premier League’s most consistent players.
He did well under Graham Potter at the Amex Stadium and has continued that good form under Roberto De Zerbi, opening up a place for himself in Argentina’s successful World Cup squad.

The World Cup was a success for him and his country as he was a regular in the starting eleven after Argentina’s last group match against Poland, in which he scored.
He also started the final and provided the assist to Angel Di Maria for Argentina’s second goal, and his overall tournament raised interest in him.

Dortmund will face stern competition if they wish to sign Mac Allister: Benfica, Juventus and Inter are also interested in the Argentine star and the Germans will have to move quickly if they want to get him.
Like Bellingham, it’s unlikely Mac Allister stays at Brighton beyond the end of this campaign as his performances warrant a move to a club in the Champions League and Dortmund could be his next destination.
