Aside from Al-Nassr, there has been no concrete interest in the 37-year-old.
Ronaldo had been training at former club Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground since Portugal were eliminated from the World Cup by Morocco in the quarter-final stage on December 6.
His agent Jorge Mendes has been desperately trying to find new suitors, with Ronaldo still keen to continue playing for a big club in a major league - specifically a Champions League team.
But Ronaldo’s poor form this season, his antics off the pitch, his high salary and the fact he turns 38 in February has put everyone off.
Ronaldo is a free agent after his contract at Man Utd was rescinded last month in the week leading up to the World Cup.
This came about after Ronaldo blasted Man Utd in an interview with Piers Morgan, accusing the club and key figures of betraying him and trying to force him out.
He slammed manager Erik ten Hag, former boss Ralf Rangnick, owners The Glazers and club legends Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.
The interview proved to be the final straw for the club after months of indiscipline and controversy surrounding Ronaldo and his behaviour.
Ronaldo is still hoping to find a European club that are playing in the Champions League but has no concrete offers on the table from major teams.
Ronaldo has only scored three club goals in 2022-23, one in the Premier League and two in the Europa League.
He scored only one goal at the World Cup - a penalty in the opener against Ghana - and was dropped for the knockout stages.
Ronaldo also courted more controversy at the World Cup. He reacted petulantly to being substituted against South Korea, leading to his manager Fernando Santos slamming him in public. He then also stormed down the tunnel rather than celebrate with his teammates after the win over Switzerland in the last-16.
