Man Utd set for Sommer transfer in goalkeeping shake-up
Borussia Monchengladbach and Switzerland number one Yann Sommer has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.
Sommer is understood to have been targeted to provide competition for David de Gea, who doesn't quite suit Erik ten Hag's style of playing out from the back.
But a transfer will not take place during the winter transfer window, according to Sky Germany.

The 33-year-old's current contract at Gladbach is set to expire in 2023, meaning he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
De Gea is also set to become a free agent next summer, but there is an option for a further year included in his contract.
As a result, the Spaniard may end up staying at Old Trafford until 2024, with Martin Dubravka and Dean Henderson under contract as well.
Sommer vs Costa?
Diogo Costa has been Portugal’s number one for the best part of 2022, having blossomed at Porto in both domestic and European competition.
United have sent scouts to watch him this season, as Costa’s shot-stopping, sweeping and distribution is just what manager Erik ten Hag is looking for.

There are significant differences between the two options: Costa will be a long-term solution to Manchester United’s problems, given his youth, while Sommer is approaching the final years of his career.
Additionally, Manchester United will have to pay big to get Costa – potentially his €75 million release clause, while Sommer will be free next year.
