Arsenal eyeing swoop for £145m midfield duo
Arsenal are looking to improve their midfield options and are targeting two Premier League stars in a mammoth £145 million swoop.
The Gunners are keen to improve in the middle of the park to take their team to the next level and challenge on all fronts after this season having shown their credentials in a title fight this season.
Despite having players like Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey amongst their ranks in this campaign, they want to add more quality to the midfield.

They are now targeting West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Brighton’s wantaway star Moises Caicedo and are optimistic of getting deals done for both.
Arsenal eyeing PL duo
Mikel Arteta’s side have done well this season to remain on top of the Premier League and want to strengthen even further as a return to the Champions League for the first time since 2017 looks increasingly likely.
Rice has recently emerged as a target and the player himself is open to the move as he can leave West Ham and play at the highest level in the Champions League.

There is interest in him from Chelsea and Manchester United but in recent days it has emerged that Arsenal are the frontrunners for his signature.
He could cost around £80 million if Arsenal look to get him in the summer which would be a record transfer for the Gunners.
Their other target is Caicedo of Brighton and after the Ecuadorian asked to leave the Seagulls this past week, there is a belief that Arsenal can land him.
No value in Brighton selling Caicedo now unless an exorbitant bid comes in. He’s the pillar of their build-up & only have a few days to replace him. Midfield is already affected by Mwepu retiring. Waiting to summer when they can once again flex their superb scouting, makes sense.

Arsenal bid £60 million for the player but may have to bump it up a bit to land the Ecuador international, taking the outlay for the two midfielders around £145 million.
Whether Arsenal land the midfield pair remains to be seen but what’s clear is that they will improve significantly if they get the duo.
