Arsenal fans will love Mudryk’s response to transfer bid
Arsenal have launched a third transfer bid for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Mykhailo Mudryk, who is a player they have been chasing since the summer.
On Thursday, the Gunners tabled an offer for the 22-year-old, which is believed to be worth between €85-90 million (£75-80m) inclusive of add ons. It has been claimed that over €56m of this will be made as an up-front payment to Shakhtar.

Reports suggest that an agreement is close but has not yet been made – and it is clear from Mudryk’s social media activity that he desperately wants this to prove the decisive move.
Following the news of Arsenal’s latest advance for him, he posted an image on his Instagram stories of two hands praying. Given the timing, it is an unambiguous message to fans of the Gunners that he continues to desperately want a move to the club.

Mudryk only wants Arsenal transfer
Indeed, Mudryk has already made it perfectly clear that he wants to join the Premier League leaders this month.
He has regularly ‘liked’ posts on Instagram that have suggested he should move to Arsenal, including those with the ‘FreeMudryk’ hashtag.

Meanwhile, he also went public to claim that his club are “wounded” him over their initial asking price of €100m – a stance that they appear to have backed down from in the meantime.
Although Chelsea have also held an interest in Mudryk, FootballTransfer revealed that Arsenal have never been seriously concerned about the Blues’ chase for the player.
The Gunners’ stance was helped on this matter when the player himself liked an Instagram post that indicated he only wants to move to the Emirates.
“Mudryk has made it crystal clear to his agent that he ONLY wants a move to Arsenal this winter,” read a post by the arsenal_informer Instgram account, which Mudryk himself liked.
“This will make it next to impossible for Chelsea to hijack the deal due to the player's strong desire to play for the Gunners.”
Arsenal will hope that Mudryk is in their squad to face Manchester United at the Emirates on 22 January in what promises to be a pivotal game in the Premier League title race.
