January has almost come and gone in the blink of an eye as we enter the final full week before the winter transfer window slams shut and teams finalise their squads for the second half of the season.

Chelsea have been by far and away the most active team in the window, spending more than teams from every other league across Europe on players such as Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoit Badiashile.

Malo Gusto to Chelsea

Malo Gusto is among the most coveted young defenders on the market, with the right-back entering into the final 18 months of his deal at Lyon.

The 19-year-old has becoming an integral part of the French side’s first team but Chelsea are looking to beat their rivals to his signing by testing Lyon’s resolve with a bid before the end of the window.

Pedro Porro to Tottenham

Another right-back who could be on the move is Pedro Porro, with Tottenham the frontrunners to sign the Sporting Lisbon man, although they are also monitoring the situation surrounding Gusto.

Porro has a release clause of €45 million and Spurs have been told by Sporting that he will not leave for anything below that, meaning the Premier League side will have a decision to make in the coming days.

Hakim Ziyech

Chelsea are looking to sell players in order to shrink their squad size after bringing in no less than six players so far this window and Hakim Ziyech is one player who could be on the out.

The Moroccan has started Chelsea’s last two games but, with the arrival of multiple forwards this month, Ziyech may be cashed in on amid interest from the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham and Barcelona among others.

Matteo Guendouzi to Aston Villa

Unai Emery is hoping to continue to add to his squad after a promising start to his career as Aston Villa manager and Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is believed to be top of his shopping list.

The Frenchman was signed by Emery at Arsenal and has revitalised his career back in France, prompting Villa to consider a big-money move for the 23-year-old, rumoured to be around £30m.

Anthony Gordon to Newcastle

Anthony Gordon was a player that was tracked by a number of clubs last summer which resulted in Everton reportedly turning down an offer in excess of £50m from Chelsea for their academy graduate.

The 21-year-old has endured a mixed season for the Toffees and Everton could cash in due to their financial problems following the sacking of Frank Lampard, as Newcastle look to renew their interest in Gordon from last year.

Jakub Kiwior to Arsenal

Perhaps the most advanced deal on this list, Arsenal are set to imminently wrap up the signing of defender Jakub Kiwior after agreeing a fee of around £21m with Italian side Spezia.

The 22-year-old is a left-footed centre-back who featured for Poland at the 2022 World Cup and he is due for a medical in north London this week.

Ivan Fresneda to Arsenal

Arsenal look set to beat their rivals to the signing of Ivan Fresneda, the Real Valladolid right-back who was wanted by a host of European sides this winter.

The 18-year-old is set to decide between a €15m move to the Gunners or Dortmund, with the understanding that he will be loaned back to his former side for the rest of the season.

Wesley to Barcelona

Barcelona are understood to be close to signing Flamengo right-back Wesley on loan with no obligation to buy.

The 19-year-old will likely play for the club’s B team and was recently pictured with Barca director Matheu Alemany as negotiations edged towards a conclusion.

Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea

Chelsea could continue their massive spending with the signing of Enzo Fernandez after they reportedly went back in for the Benfica midfielder.

The Blues walked away from negotiations at the start of the month after Benfica insisted they would not accept less than Fernandez’s €120m release clause but a deal could accelerate in the final week, with Chelsea desperate for midfield reinforcements.

Arnaut Danjuma to Everton

While Everton have sacked their manager Frank Lampard this week, they are still expected to sign Arnaut Danjuma on loan after agreeing a deal for the Villarreal forward.

The Dutch international has endured a difficult season so far but was wanted by a host of Premier League sides such as Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest but he opted for Everton and has already reportedly completed his medical.
