‘It would be a dream’ - Torres confirms Arsenal interest
Orlando City winger Facundo Torres has revealed that Arsenal were interested in signing him but he has remained focused on his current club.
The Uruguayan has impressed in Major League Soccer over the last few months and has attracted interest from Europe, with lots of clubs tracking his progress.
It was reported in December that Arsenal were looking at signing him, possibly as a back-up to Bukayo Saka with Mikel Arteta a fan of the player.

However, nothing of that sort has materialized just yet and he is adamant that he is focused on succeeding with Orlando City.
Torres confirms Arsenal interest
“Orlando City confirmed to me that there was contact with Arsenal, but then I left for the World Cup and I didn’t want to hear about a potential transfer at that point.
“So the conversation stayed there but now that I am back with the team, we will see where the conversation goes,” he said in an interview with 90min.

He then added that he remains focused on the upcoming 2023 season with Orlando, but then added it’s a dream to play abroad one day.
“I would love to play in Europe. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. At the moment I am focused on Orlando City. But La Liga or Premier League would be my targets, and that’s where the rumors are coming from. But yeah, I would absolutely love that,” he said.
Since joining Orlando City in January 2022, he has become an integral part of the set up at the club and is one of the best young players in Major League Soccer.
He also helped Orlando City win the US Open Cup last year and will be hoping to add more success should he remain at the club for a while after this transfer window.
