Three possible Deadline Day signings for Man Utd

There may be little excitement obvious about Manchester United’s possible January Deadline Day actions, but a shock move from the Old Trafford club should not be ruled out.
Fourth in the Premier League standings, the Red Devils are well placed, yet Champions League football for next season has not been locked down.
Furthermore, an injury to Christian Eriksen in the midfield has raised questions over the depth of Erik ten Hag’s squad in that area and represents a problem going into the second half of the season.

United are clearly reticent to spend money on transfers with the Glazer brothers having announced their intention to sell the club, and instead they have moved in the loan market to sign Jack Butland from Crystal Palace and Wout Weghorst from Burnley.
With two domestic loan deals done, United will have to look either to the free agent market or to the foreign loan market to get a transfer over the line if they do not want to sign anyone permanently.

Man Utd’s Deadline Day transfer options
Kessie only moved to Barcelona in the summer as part of the Catalans’ rather scattergun approach to signing free agents as they try to remain competitive amid their financial crisis. The former AC Milan player’s arrival has not paid off and loaning him out could be an attractive option to lower the wage bill in the second half of the season.
Manchester United were reportedly interested in the midfielder when he was still at Ajax, but instead of joining Ten Hag in England last summer, he elected to make a move to Bayern Munich. It’s not worked out for him in Germany, where he has been peripheral to things at the Allianz Arena and has not started a single Bundesliga match this season.
Isco
It looks like former Real Madrid midfielder Isco is heading to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga, but things can change quickly on Deadline Day, and for any top club in need of a midfielder, the Spain international is worth consideration. The 30-year-old may have been released by Sevilla after a wretched spell in Andalusia, but the possibility of unlocking his best level again is a mouth-watering challenge.
