The 21-year-old attacker is reportedly allowed to leave Tottenham Hotspur on a loan basis.

The Spaniard has played few minutes in north London this season and with the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma, the chance that he will get playing time has become even smaller.

The Spain U21 international has featured for only 305 minutes this season, spread over 10 games. He has provided one assist.

The left winger signed from Seville for €25 million in the summer of 2021 and still has a contract until mid-2026. He was loaned out to Valencia for the second half of last season.

PSV looking at other options

PSV are also scouting for reinforcements in France and Germany. However, the Eindhoven club runs into a problem.

"Players found to be suitable by PSV prefer to be active in the Premier League, something that PSV has had a lot of trouble with this winter when recruiting newcomers," writes club watcher Rik Elfrink. "Moreover, the clubs from England buy up almost everything that seems to have a little talent. That drives up the prices on the player market enormously."

PSV are reportedly also in the market for Rennes forward Kamaldeen Sulemana. They are said to have made an opening bid of no less than €15m plus €2m euros in bonuses for the 20-year-old attacker from Rennes, who Ajax wanted 18 months ago.

Southampton would even be willing to pay €17m. Both bids have been swept aside by the French club.

PSV are diligently looking for offensive reinforcements after losing Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke to Liverpool and Chelsea respectively earlier in the January transfer window.

The first signing of the winter was presented on Wednesday: Fabio Silva has been loaned from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season. The Portuguese striker was previously on loan at Anderlecht, but that agreement was broken off prematurely.
