Ten Hag reveals why Martial could have a future at Man Utd
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has faith in Anthony Martial despite reports that the attacker has been earmarked for a move away.
The Frenchman, who has suffered a hip injury in what is another setback, has missed more than half of the club’s games this season.
He had made a return to the pitch in Man Utd’s second-leg win of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest last week, but now he has another injury that will keep him sidelined.

Ten Hag said of the 27-year-old in a press conference: “He is not always available, but also I see the other side when he is available.
“He was never 100 per cent this season but he had a big impact every time he is available, even when he is at 80, 85, 90 per cent. So we do everything and Anthony Martial is doing everything.
“I think he is the player who has spent the most hours at Carrington this season, to return to recover, to get back. It is really a pity for him that he is disappointed.
“He is not always available and we want him to be always available because that will improve our game and because routines can’t become routines when you are not always available.”
Martial enjoyed a stellar pre-season with Man Utd but he has struggled for form and fitness this campaign under the Dutchman.
Erik ten Hag’s summer plans
It comes after reports that Martial will leave the club and Man Utd will look to bring in a marquee attacking option in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The club are looking at Hary Kane, Victor Osimhen, and Dusan Vlahovic as possible options to come into the fold at Old Trafford, while there are reports that a Qatari group are looking to take over the Glazer’s ownership and give the side a huge transfer kitty.
