Manchester United could snap up a bargain buy this summer by bringing in a World Cup winner and strengthening their forward line in the process.

Roma forward Paulo Dybala is reported to have a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the club for just £10.7 million, having joined the Serie A side from Juventus last summer.

Dybala will have two years remaining on the contract he signed last summer with Jose Mourinho’s side having grabbed seven goals and six assists so far this season.

The 29-year-old joined Roma for free but is understood to have a clause allowing him to leave for foreign clubs for a cut figure, while Italian sides would need to pay £17.6m.

United are looking to bolster their attacking options and have prioritised Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Tottenham’s Harry Kane as their top targets, however Italian outlet calciomercato claims Dybala is being considered as an alternative if those players are not possible.

HYPE: United targeting 'exciting' summer transfer window

Dybala is thought to be open to a move to the Premier League in the hopes of increasing his £5m salary and he could arrive at Old Trafford in addition to another striker due to his relatively low pricetag.

United target striker to ease Rashford load

United may look to sign multiple forwards, with Anthony Martial likely to be sold and Wout Weghorst set to return to Burnley after his loan spell.

Erik ten Hag has relied on the goals of Marcus Rashford so far this season and is searching for a true number nine to allow the England international to flourish in his preferred left-wing role.

PLANS: United prepare mega bid for striker

Rashford has netted 20 times in all competitions this season but the club’s next top scorer is Bruno Fernandes with seven, while the likes of Antony, Martial and Jadon Sancho have just nine league goals between them.

United will likely make a move for Osimhen but Napoli are expected to demand in excess of £120m for their top scorer, a price which the Premier League side are reluctant to meet.

Tottenham are also unwilling to sell Kane to a Premier League rival, meaning a move for Dybala may represent a shrewd choice to allow United to spread their resources efficiently.
