Man Utd quoted ASTRONOMICAL price for Lautaro Martinez
Manchester United have been told they will have to pay over €100 million if they want to sign Lautaro Martinez this summer.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Nerazzurri value the Argentine striker well over €100m.
Inter do not intend to sell Lautaro this summer and would not even consider bids unless they are in three figures.
Man Utd have Lautaro on their shortlist of possible signings this summer, having made the purchase of a top-class goalscorer their number one priority.
Wout Weghorst was brought in on loan to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window, but United plan to buy a top-class established number nine in the summer.
Man Utd interested in Lautaro
Lautaro has emerged as one of the most admired attackers in Europe over the last few years.
He has scored 89 goals in 211 games for Inter since joining from Racing in 2018.
The 25-year-old played a key role in Inter winning the Scudetto in 2021 under Antonio Conte and is in brilliant form currently, having scored seven goals in his last eight games. He has 15 in all competitions this term.
Inter will likely sacrifice some key players this summer due to their financial problems, but it is understood that they consider Lautaro as one of the players to build their next team around.
He also recently signed a new contract until 2026.
Whether or not Man Utd will be prepared to pay this amount for Lautaro remains to be seen.
The attacker struggled at the World Cup, despite Argentina winning the trophy.
After missing a host of chances in the first two games against Saudi Arabia and Mexico, he was dropped and only appeared as a substitute for the rest of the tournament.
Lautaro failed to score a goal at the World Cup, although he did find the net in penalty shootouts.
Man Utd are also considering another Serie A star in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
