Wout Weghorst: Netherlands legend reveals why coaches 'love' Man Utd striker
Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst is hugely admired by former Netherlands coach Frank de Boer.
The Red Devils bought in the forward on a loan deal from Burnley as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed the side late last year.
And De Boer spoke highly of the veteran attacker, saying that his all-round game means that he is loved by coaches. He said: "He [Weghorst] has qualities that others can benefit from. Sometimes strikers are very selfish, but he does so much defensive work. He knows his qualities. That’s why he is so loved by coaches."

The 30-year-old scored twice for the Netherlands in the World Cup quarter-finals against eventual winners Argentina, while for the Premier League outfit, he has netted once in six games in all competitions.
For Besiktas in Turkey, Weghorst scored eight goals and registered four assists in 16 league games. His loan was cut short, with Man Utd compensating the Super Lig side, and he came into the fold to play under Erik ten Hag.
Erik ten Hag’s leaders
The Dutch boss recently hailed Man Utd’s other loan signing, Marcel Sabitzer, as one of the leaders that the side can count on.
The Austrian international signed on loan from Bayern Munich for the rest of the season after making 24 appearances in all competitions for his parent club - and only seven of those came as a starter in the Bundesliga.
Ten Hag said of the player: "He is a determined football player with a really good attitude and [at] many clubs he was also captain, so he is also a leader.
"He is a really good player who brings a winning attitude and I think for that it is a perfect signing. We are really happy with him.''
