Man Utd transfer Osimhen a ‘beast’ and ‘impossible’ to play against – Hargreaves

Victor Osimhen is just one of two €100 million players that Napoli have on their books, according to former Manchester United and England star Owen Hargreaves, who says that the Nigeria international forward is “impossible” to play against.

Osimhen scored his 20th goal of the season on Wednesday as Napoli recorded a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, bundling home a cross from close range.

Such form has seen him linked with a string of major clubs, with Manchester United the club that is most closely associated with the 24-year-old.

Napoli, though, have been eye-catching this season for several reasons, with Georgia international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia enjoying a breakout season, while Hargreaves picked out Mexico international Hirving Lozano as their outstanding player against the Europa League winners.

For the BT Sport pundit, Osimhen is the one who stands out.

“They’ve got two €100m players. Kvaratskhelia on the right. Hirving Lozano was probably their best player but Osimehn is an absolute beast,” Hargreaves explained.

“Physically, his size, he presses the ball. Incredible. He’s incredibly hard to play against. Physically, he’s just impossible to deal with.”

Will Napoli sell Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia?

Serie A leaders Napoli will not want to lose any of their two leading stars but are bound to come under pressure to sell in the summer.

Premier League giants Chelsea and Man Utd are both known to be in the market for a striker, while Real Madrid have been linked with a strong interest in Kvaratskhelia.

The 22-year-old winger has been the breakout star of European football this season, with his value rising to €50m having been worth just €9.3m when Napoli plucked him from Dinamo Batumi in the summer.

With Osimhen under contract until 2025 and Kvaratskhelia’s deal not expiring until 2027, Napoli are in a strong bargaining position with regards their two key players, yet interest from major clubs will have them under pressure to sell.
