Arsenal aiming to beat Liverpool to right-back
Arsenal and Liverpool are both in the market for a right-back next summer, with the English giants set to go head-to-head for Galatasaray's Sacha Boey.
Arsenal are top of the Premier League, closing on their first title since the 'Invincibles' season under Arsene Wenger in 2004, and Ben White has impressed at right-back this term.
But the England international is a centre-back by trade, while Takehiro Tomiyasu, a specialist in the position, has an uncertain future having fallen behind him in the pecking order - partly due to injury.

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has long been regarded as one of the best on the world in his position, meanwhile, but he has had an abject season at Anfield, and more competition for his place is desired.

Boey has impressed for Galatasaray since his 2021 arrival from Rennes, and Turkish newspaper Aksam report that Arsenal have been watching him closely in recent weeks.
Arteta interest
"Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to sign Boey," they write. "At the end of the season, the English club will knock on the Yellow-Reds' door for the impressive player."

Gala only paid €1 million for Boey's services in July 2021, but he is now valued at €4.2m by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm and the Turkish giants could hold out for significantly more with their president Dursun Ozbek insisting they want to keep Boey.
"We don't intend to sell any players," he told Turkish news outlet Sabah. “We have a very good squad, and we're fighting for the title.
"Besides Sacha Boey and [Danish centre-back] Victor Nelsson, there are offers for three or four more players because the squad is a very good squad."
Gala also reportedly turned down an €8m bid for Boey's services from Lyon last summer.
