The attacker and his representatives will sit down after contract extensions are wrapped up with Granit Xhaka and William Saliba, with a willingness from both sides to get the deal signed and sealed.
Odegaard will be handed a substantial pay rise and there is an eagerness to thrash out an agreement as soon as possible.

His current deal at the Emirates runs out in 2025 and there is an ambition to secure his future at north London for another five years, until 2030.
Odegaard has been a sensation since coming to Arsenal, with the player being a key member of the side who are currently sitting eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, with Manchester City just behind.
Odegaard discusses Premier League focus
Despite their dominance in the domestic league, Arsenal crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday following a 2-2 draw with Sporting CB in the return leg.
It means, of course, that the priority is now on obtaining the league title.
Odegaard conceded after the game against Sporting that the club see their future Premier League fixtures as ‘cup finals’.
He told the club’s official site: “Yeah, that’s the only thing we can do,” he said. “We have 11 finals to go and that’s it, that’s the main focus now. It starts already now in the dressing room to recover well and change the focus, so that’s what we have to do.”
Arsenal beat Crystal Palace on Saturday in emphatic fashion, cruising to a 4-1 win over the Eagles to extend their lead a the top.
