‘Arsenal should sign Mason Mount’
Arsenal should sign Chelsea star Mason Mount this summer, according to former Gunners midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong.
Mount looks likely to leave Chelsea at the end of the season as contract renewal talks have ground to a halt.
The attacking midfielder’s contract expires in 2024 and Chelsea will sell him this summer if a new deal can’t be agreed in the coming months.

Liverpool are favourites to sign him but Man Utd and Newcastle are also interested.
And Frimpong has called on Arsenal to make a move, too.
What did Frimpong say about Mount to Arsenal?
“Mason Mount is a very good player, not world-class, but a good enough player to play for Arsenal,” Frimpong told Betting Sites.
“He would bolster Arsenal’s squad, if I was in charge of Arsenal, he is the player I would like to bring in. Mount is very young, never injured, very professional and an England international.
“He has not been in great form but neither have Chelsea all season. You don’t win Chelsea player of the year two times in a row if you’re not a good player.
“If the money is too much, then Arsenal would have to walk away, we’re not Manchester City, we can’t spend that much money on one player.”
Mount’s salary demands from Chelsea are reported to be around €300,000 per week.
Mount’s form in 2022-23 has led to Chelsea being unwilling to pay him that much.
Since October 19, Mount has scored just one goal and delivered zero assists in 23 matches for club and country.
His only goal contribution was a 90th minute strike on December 27 to clinch a 2-0 Chelsea win over Bournemouth.
