Andrey Santos: Fabrizio Romano reveals details of Chelsea starlet’s loan transfer
Andrey Santos is closing in on his loan exit from Chelsea – despite having not played with the Blues since a €12.5 million January transfer from Vasco da Gama – Fabrizio Romano reports.
A winner of the recent U20 South American Championship, in which he finished as joint top scorer despite being a central midfield player, Chelsea are ready to send him out on an immediate temporary deal.
The Blues have elected to take this course of action because they do not believe that the 18-year-old is able to receive a work permit for the UK, which means that he could not even train with them.

As such, Chelsea have been seeking several solutions, with a move to LA Galaxy also touted.
Ultimately, though, Andrey Santos will head back to Vasco, who he helped to promotion to Brazil’s Serie A last season.

Andre Santos loan latest
It appeared that he was destined to join Palmeiras, but that deal broke down because they wanted to keep the teenager until December. Chelsea, on the other hand, want him back in summer for pre-season.
Vasco stepped forward and agreed to these terms with the Blues, who will also cover the player’s salary over the course of his stay.
Romano has moved to confirm details regarding Santos’ destination, expected return and wage details.
He also added that the player could be thrust into action immediately. Vasco are in action against Flamengo in the Taca Guanabara on Sunday, and a deal is thought to be so close that the 18-year-old could be able to play in that match.
All the documents are in place to be completed, the Italian transfer specialist reports.
Naturally, Chelsea will be keeping close tabs on their investment during the duration of his loan deal, with Andrey Santos considered to be one of the brightest Brazilian prospects of his generation.
