'I'm going to die!' - Cristiano Ronaldo's diet left fellow pro feeling like death
Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous diet is not for everyone, it seems, with Palmeiras tar Gabriel Menino reporting that the former Manchester United star’s regime left him feeling like death.
Ronaldo, who turned 38 in February and plays with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has a famously impressive physique, despite his age. This has been honed of years of hard work in the gym, but also a strict diet.
The Portugal star famously caused the share price of Coca-Cola to plummet after urging fans to “drink water” instead prior to a press conference, while he often speaks of his dislike of fast food and the importance of strong nutrition in order to be in peak physical condition.

An inspiration to players all over the world, Palmeiras full-back Menino has revealed he was inspired to take up Ronaldo’s diet with the aim of having a physique “equal” to that of the ex-Man Utd and Real Madrid attacker.
This was triggered by the former prospect being relegated to third choice in his position, but it didn’t have the outcome that the 22-year-old wanted.

What is Ronaldo’s diet?
Menino was following a simple version of Ronaldo’s diet: egg and supplements for breakfast, supplements before training, in the afternoon and before sleep, and grilled fish or meat and salad for lunch and dinner.
Just one day after starting the plan, he found the results were not what he was hoping for.
“I was warming up and I was only thinking of one thing: ‘I’m going to die!’ Five minutes into the game, I couldn’t run anymore. I had to be replaced,” Menino told Palmeiras Cast.
He was saved by a brief injury break for a team-mate which allowed him to take on isotonic fluids.
Menino may not have hit the heights of Ronaldo, but he is at least now first choice on the right wing for Palmeiras.
