Man Utd fans fume 'players shouldn't get this week's wages' after Liverpool hammering
Manchester United fans are pulling their hair out after they were battered 7-0 by Liverpool at Anfield.
The Reds dominated Man Utd, with six goals coming in the second-half. It was a true reminder of what Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are all about.
But the scale of the defeat has some Red Devils fans fuming with their side, with one demanding that the club withhold the players’ wages and bonuses for this week.

All those players should be fined a weeks wages, that performance is not acceptable, we lost our heads at 2-0, the game was over at start of second half, mentally it was like we had just dropped heads and given up, conceded defeat! it wasn't good enough, embarrassing! #MUFC

Embarrassing and shameful. Fine a month wages and make them run 100 miles a day for a week. #mufc https://t.co/CVyPTJvlSx

#mufc If my kid had of played like that i would be embarrassed. These guys should donate every penny of this week's wage to charity. How can any of those players look anyone straight in the face and say they deserve to be paid for that performance. @ManUtdMEN @samuelluckhurst

Tactics are irrelevant today. Individual performances, even basics, were bad from the start. Even when #MUFC absorbed the early assault & got control, they didn’t have the on-the-day quality to turn it into anything. Then it’s a frustration-born psychological collapse…

Every single fan who went to Anfield should have their ticket reimbursed @ManUtd. That was humiliating and embarrassing. The players should donate their wages to charity.

#MUFC were just bad from start to end. I understand the players have played many games but you make those changes in order not to concede so many goals. I would have even sub on Maguire for Martinez. I'm hurting man. That score line is really really bad for us. 😡😡😡😡#LIVMUN

Man Utd shook
The result came as a huge shock to Man Utd fans, who had been enjoying a tremendous period with Erik ten Hag, having just won the Carabao Cup.
Club legend Roy Keane on Sky Sports said after the contest: “I never thought United were back to their very best. They’ve had some very good results. They’ve been giving teams chances - Leicester at home, West Ham. Teams have let them off the hook.
“Liverpool didn’t let them off the hook and punished them. That’s where they were deserve credit. They were clinical, ruthless. They kept going and wanted more goals. The senior players are the ones that let the club down today.”
