RADAMEL FALCAO has been offered a shock transfer that could lead to a new role when his playing career finishes.

The Colombian, 37, currently plies his trade in LaLiga with Rayo Vallecano.

His time in European football could be coming to an end, however, and he is not short of suitors.

According to Spanish paper Marca, Malaysian giants Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) want to bring Falcao to Asia.

They claim that JDT have offered the former Manchester United and Chelsea striker a two-year deal to compete in the Malaysian Super League.

A potential contract would also include a pathway to becoming an ambassador for his new team, as well as the state of Johor, upon his retirement.

Falcao is reportedly interested in making the move.

But JDT face competition from Spanish strugglers Valencia.

The fallen LaLiga giants sit 18th in the table this term and are in relegation trouble - but could look to recruit Falcao.

Having been prolific in his Atletico Madrid days, Falcao has bagged just two goals in 19 LaLiga appearances this term.

He has primarily featured from the bench, however, starting just three games.

Although he remains a regular for his country.

JDT have won the last nine editions of the Malaysian Super League.

They have also earned three Malaysian Cups and two Malaysian FA Cups.

Their trophy cabinet also features the 2015 AFC Cup - the Asian equivalent of the Europa League.

JDT's squad currently features former Watford and Sheffield Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri, ex-Swansea ace Jordi Amat and Aston Villa and Millwall old boy Shane Lowry.
