Bellingham told to play alongside Casemiro at Man Utd
Jude Bellingham has been told to reject Liverpool and Real Madrid in order to line up alongside Casemiro at Man Utd next season.
Bellingham is arguably the most wanted man on the transfer market ahead of the summer, with most of Europe’s biggest clubs fighting for his signature.
Liverpool have long been considered as favourites for the Borussia Dortmund star due to their excellent relationship with the player and his family.
But Madrid have moved ahead in the race recently. They are going all-in on Bellingham and have made him their number one midfield target for 2023.
However, former Man Utd star Louis Saha has urged Bellingham to join Man Utd in order to partner up with Brazil star Casemiro in midfield.
What did Saha say about Bellingham?
“Manchester United are showing an improvement that nobody can deny. Their style of play is very attractive, very effective and they’ve shown that they’re competing for trophies again," Saha told Betfred.
"They will challenge for the Champions League next season, that’s for sure. There’s grounds for a young talent like Jude Bellingham to sit in the midfield, really enjoy the game alongside Casemiro and learn a lot. This team is unbelievable to look at, at the moment.
“Jude’s technical ability, his directness and his energy levels indicate that he has the potential to be the best number eight in Europe. He’s a huge prospect and his price tag is enormous because he’s so young, but he needs to keep performing the way he has been for Borussia Dortmund.
"He’s going to be at the top of the list for every big club, so I hope he doesn’t focus on how big his contract will be or how the structure of his contract is set up. His football should be his main concern at the moment."
What clubs are interested in signing Bellingham?
Until recently, Liverpool had been considered favourites, but there is strong interest elsewhere.
As well as Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and PSG all are reported to want to sign him.
Bellingham was one of the young stars of the 2022 World Cup, scoring one, assisting one and being arguably England’s best player as they reached the quarter-finals.
Dortmund are expected to sell their star man this summer, as his contract expires in 2024.
It is expected that Bellingham will cost over €100 million for whichever club does sign him, with some reports quoting his asking price as high as €150m.
