Chelsea dealt big BLOW to Gavi hopes
Chelsea’s hopes of signing Barcelona wonderkid Gavi have taken a huge blow as the Blaugrana are set to register the midfielder.
Barcelona director of football Mateu Alemany has confirmed that the club will register Gavi.
It is reported that there will be no problems with Gavi’s contract situation and there is no risk of him leaving the club this summer.

"We are going to register Gavi for sure," Alemany said on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea want to sign Gavi
Chelsea have initiated talks in recent weeks to sign Gavi at the end of the season after it emerged that the Spaniard’s contract with Barcelona could become void.
Barca must register him as a senior first-team player by July - but in order to do so they must free up funds.
And if the Blaugrana are not able to do this and lower their wage bill to accommodate Gavi, his contract could be defunct and other clubs would be able to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.
The Blues have reportedly met with the 18-year-old’s agent - and there, they expressed a desire to sign him.
But Alemany has now reportedly made it clear that there will be no problems and that Gavi will be registered imminently.
This news will come as a huge relief to Barcelona fans as Gavi is considered as one of the biggest young talents European football has seen in recent years.
Still only 18, Gavi became the youngest Spain international in history at the age of 17 years and 62 days against Italy in the Nations League semi-final in 2021.
