On Tuesday, the Norwegian superstar scored one and made another as Manchester City defeated Bayern Munich 3-0 at the Etihad in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final.

Haaland’s goal took his tally for Manchester City this season to an incredible 45 goals from 39 games in all competitions. He now has 11 goals in just seven games in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland at Man City: Goals, assists, results & fixtures in 2022-23

Haaland joined Man City from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €60 million last summer, as the English champions beat off competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

And the 23-year-old has broken record after record since his arrival.

What records has Haaland broken at Man City?

  • Fastest player ever to 10 Premier League goals (six games)
  • Fastest player ever to 20 Premier League goals (14 games)
  • Fastest player ever to 30 Premier League goals (27 games)
  • Fastest player ever to 30 Champions League goals (25 games)
  • Fastest player ever to four Premier League hattricks (19 games)
  • Fastest player ever to 30 goals under Pep Guardiola (26 games)
  • Most goals ever in a season by a Man City player (45 goals)
  • Most goals ever in a season by a Premier League player (45 goals)

Haaland is almost certain to break even more records between now and the end of the 2022-23 season.

Manchester City still have nine Premier League matches to go, a maximum of four Champions League games and a maximum of two FA Cup games.

So Haaland could still play a maximum of 15 games for City between now and the end of the campaign.

If he plays all those games and maintains his current scoring rate, he will finish the season with 69 goals.

Lionel Messi holds the world record for goals in a season, with 73 goals in all competitions from the 2011-12 season.
