'Sacked in the morning' - Brighton fans mock Lampard

Frank Lampard has only been back in caretaker charge of Chelsea for two games, but after a second successive defeat, this time against Brighton, Seagulls fans couldn't resist…

Brighton were disappointed to lose Graham Potter to Chelsea at the start of the season, their former manager regarded as one of the brightest young English coaches in the game during his time at the Amex.

But it didn't work out for Potter at Chelsea, and he was sacked at the start of the month, to be replaced by club legend Lampard, who was previously in charge between 2019 and 2021.

But Lampard the player and Lampard the manager have thus far proved two very different beasts, and two games into his second tenure Chelsea have dropped all six possible points.

Conor Gallagher had given the Blues the lead at Stamford Bridge, but Brighton replied through Danny Welbeck before Julio Enciso snatched a 2-1 win, sending the visiting support into hysterics.

Some took to Twitter to goad Lampard, whilst much of the Chelsea support was equally unkind.
