Bellingham to Liverpool is still ON
Liverpool retain an interest in Jude Bellingham and could yet complete a summer transfer for the England midfield, despite previous reports indicating that they had pulled out of a deal, FootballTransfers can revealed.
The 19-year-old, who will celebrate his 20th birthday on 29 June, is likely to be one of the football transfer news stories of the summer, with a deal in excess of €120 million expected to take him away from the Bundesliga side.
Manchester City and Real Madrid are the clubs leading the way for the Bellingham, who has also attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG.

Liverpool still working on Bellingham transfer
Liverpool had been reported to have pulled any interest because of his transfer fee, yet it is FootballTransfers’ understanding that informal discussions between the Reds and BVB over Bellingham are ongoing.
Dortmund were eager for the former Birmingham City player to sign a new deal with a €90m release clause in 2024, but Bellingham said he wanted Liverpool this summer. His present deal expires in 2025, so time is a factor in the fee that the Bundesliga side will earn.
Meanwhile, FootballTransfers can revealed that reports that the Reds made a bid of €96m plus add ons were accurate. This was made because they knew Jude wanted them – and also because it’s more than Dortmund will get next summer.

This offer was rejected by Dortmund, but Liverpool have retaliated by saying we’ll sign him next year for less – assuming, of course, that neither City nor Madrid is successful in having an approach accepted by BVB in the meantime.
Liverpool are set for an overhaul in the summer, with Jurgen Klopp’s men presently seventh in the Premier League, nine points short of the Champions League positions. Bellingham would be the centrepiece of their new project if he were signed.
