‘Maguire has NO respect from Man Utd teammates’
Harry Maguire does not have the respect of his Manchester United teammates, according to former Red Devils legend Nemanja Vidic.
Vidic argues that because Maguire is not a first-team player and has been struggling with his performances for some time, he is unable to command respect from his colleagues.
Maguire has endured two miserable past seasons for Man Utd, ever since Euro 2020.

After an error-prone 2021-22 season, he finally lost his place in the first team during the current campaign as manager Erik ten Hag preferred Raphae Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
And when Maguire has played he has often struggled, including two huge errors in the Europa League quarter-final defeat to Sevilla.
What did Vidic say about Maguire?
"Maguire has a problem because he doesn’t perform well. When you don’t perform well it’s difficult to say to someone what to do. I think that Maguire is doing well for the national team, he was great for Leicester," Vidic told Rio Ferdinand on the FIVE YouTube channel.
“But obviously, he’s struggling to perform for Manchester United the way he’s performing for other clubs. But it’s difficult to gain that type of respect, it’s nothing against Maguire now.
“In general, any captain has to be first, has to show an example. A captain has to play well and has to fight for the club and then everybody else will do it.”
Maguire is still first-choice centre back for the England national team and performed impressively at both Euro 2020 and then at the 2022 World Cup in November and December of last year.
It is expected that Maguire will leave Man Utd this summer, with former club Leicester a possible destination if they stay up in the Premier League.
