'Nothing better' - Man Utd star hints at future
Manchester United star Marcel Sabitzer has opened up about his 'very positive' loan experience under Erik ten Hag amid rumours about a permanent move.
The 29-year-old arrived at Old Trafford in January after struggling for regular game time in his preferred midfield role at Bayern Munich. At United, Sabitzer has been 'revitalised' in the words of former Red Devils interim boss and current Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick.
Indeed, the Austrian has been a regular fixture under Erik ten Hag, featuring in 12 appearances across all competitions since making the switch to England. Had it not been for fitness issues, Sabitzer would likely have even more outings to his name at this point.

In light of his career revival, several media outlets have written about his future in recent weeks. The latest reports made it clear that a long-term return to Bayern is pretty unlikely despite the coaching change in Bavaria. In fact, Sabitzer's agent has reportedly already 'assured' him of a permanent move away from Munich in the summer.
Now, the man himself has spoken about his time at United and his uncertain future.
What did Sabitzer say?
In an interview with Sport Bild, Sabitzer revealed that he has not yet talked to new Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel. By contrast, he spoke glowingly about Erik ten Hag and Manchester United.
"I have found my place here," the 29-year-old revealed. "I know the Premier League now and I can say: there's nothing better, more intense or challenging."
"Of course," he continued, "my thoughts on Manchester United - specifically with how things are going and the trust I get from Erik ten Hag - are very positive. But I don't decide [on my future] all by myself. On July 1, 2023, I will be a Bayern player again, that's how it's written in the contract."

There is no option to buy in Sabitzer's United loan deal, and several other Premier League sides are said to be interested in acquiring his services.
