Man Utd have made Neymar enquiry as ‘big stars’ lined up with Qatar takeover
Manchester United made an enquiry for PSG attacker Neymar and are currently keeping tabs on the Brazil international forward, according to reports from France.
PSG are open to bids of the 31-year-old forward, who is out injured for the rest of the season because of an ankle problem, but the prospects of offloading the flair-packed attacker are not seen to be high.

However, following reports in the Daily Mirror that Chelsea are tracking Neymar, FootMercato in France states that Man Utd asked after the player during the January transfer window.
It is stated that the Red Devils have been watching him for several months and even asked after him at the start of the year, but this case has been put on the backburner until the future ownership of the club is ratified.

Man Utd in for an exciting summer?
FootMercato reports that “several big stars” will sign for Man Utd this summer if they are indeed bought by Qatari investors. The case of Neymar would be smoothed over quite easily in this case with PSG, given they are owned by Qatar Sports Investment, who have close relations with United’s potential future owners.
Meanwhile, the case of Neymar is studied in Manchester for several reasons. There is a belief that he can enhance the club’s profile in terms of sponsorship and merchandising, as well as the qualities that he possesses on the field.
Perhaps the greatest stumbling block to a deal, however, could be the desire of the player himself to remain at PSG, where he has a contract until 2027 and boasts a huge salary.
Even if Man Utd do have an offer accepted by PSG, putting a deal together to attract Neymar, who imagines seeing out his contract in Paris, is likely to prove tricky. The player is likelier to stay at PSG than to leave.
