Bernardo Silva was the match winner for Manchester City as they swept past Real Madrid and into the final of the Champions League.

The Portugal star set up a date with Inter Milan in Istanbul in March thanks to two fine first-half finishes in a comprehensive 4-0 victory on the night and 5-1 on aggregate.

His first was a smart near-post finish when everyone, it appeared, was anticipating an angled shot, while the second was a cool header when the ball broke to him in the box.

But what the future holds for the 28-year-old is unclear.

He was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona last summer – and would have completed a move had the Camp Nou side had the funds to complete the purchase – while there is ongoing speculation that he could depart from the Etihad in a bid to earn more first-team football.

PSG, for instance, have been linked with the player as a replacement for Lionel Messi.

What is Bernardo Silva’s transfer value?

FootballTransfers’ values Silva at €75.5 million, with only a handful of City players given a higher Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) than the former Monaco man.

Indeed, his value would be even higher if he were not a player already in the peak years of his career with just a couple of years left on his contract. There are only seven players in the 23-30 age range who have a higher transfer value than him.

This is the result of years of consistently excellent performances, with Bernardo’s value having constantly topped €50m since January 2019.

Silva has admitted that he finds playing against packed defences “boring” at Man City, suggesting that he could be on the lookout for another opportunity in the summer, and that would certainly be to his club’s detriment based on his form.
