Man Utd prioritise €100m transfer but face Real Madrid and PSG competition
Manchester United have ‘prioritised’ a move for Randal Kolo Muani, however they are set to face stiff competition for the Eintracht Frankfurt forward, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all taking interest.
Kolo Muani has emerged as one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season and boasts more goal contributions than any other player, having scored 13 times and grabbing ten assists.
The 24-year-old only joined Frankfurt from Nantes on a free transfer last summer but his form has attracted the attention of a host of Europe’s top clubs, with the German side expected to demand €100 million for their talisman.
According to reports in France, United have made Kolo Muani their priority along with Bayern, who believe they have the edge in keeping the Frenchman in Germany.
However, Bayern are believed to have baulked at Frankfurt’s asking price and allegedly are only willing to pay €60m, meaning the race for the Kolo Muani could ultimately come down to the highest bidder.
Real Madrid are also interested, however they are likely to focus their resources on Jude Bellingham, while PSG are also reluctant to make such a large outlay despite their admiration for Kolo Muani.
Teams position for Kolo Muani after Napoli rule out Osimhen departure
The chase for Kolo Muani is expected to hot up after Napoli’s Serie A win, which prompted club president Aurelio De Laurentiis to declare that the club would not sell star striker Victor Osimhen this summer.
Osimhen is among the highest scorers in Europe this season and was being targeted by the likes of Chelsea and United, however De Laurentiis insisted the Nigerian was not for sale at any price, stating “I will not sell [him] this summer, no way.”

As a result, one of the top targets on the market is seemingly off the table, which could prompt an even bigger pursuit for Kolo Muani, with a large number of teams in search for an elite striker.
United are likely to prefer a move for Harry Kane if the Tottenham man is available for a reasonable fee but the likes of Kolo Muani, Ajax’s Mohamed Kudus and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos remain high on their shortlist.
