Revealed: The three Premier League giants chasing Emi Martinez
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to reports.
Martinez, 30, is contracted at Villa Park until 2027 after signing an extension last year, but TyC Sports have reported that he is likely to move clubs during the upcoming transfer window.
The report details that Tottenham are currently pursuing the Argentine World Cup winner with slightly more interest than Man Utd or Chelsea, but all three clubs are keeping a keen eye on the former Arsenal shot-stopper.

Martinez’s current deal at Aston Villa does not have a release clause included, but it has been reported that interest in the 30-year-old is very likely to take further steps during the window.
He has been the club’s first-choice ‘keeper since arriving from Arsenal for €17 million in 2020. However, despite Villa’s recent resurgence under new boss Unai Emery, Martinez is reportedly looking elsewhere as he considers another shot at one of the Premier League’s traditional ‘big-six’ clubs.
In 10 years at Arsenal, Martinez embarked on six different loan spells and made just 38 first-team appearances, with the majority of them coming in his final season at the Emirates.

Martinez to leave Aston Villa?
Goalkeepers are set to be in high demand this summer, as multiple elite teams are in the market for a new shot-stopper. Brentford’s David Raya and Everton’s Jordan Pickford have both been linked with moves away, while Martinez is also admired by some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
Despite reports that David de Gea is set to sign a contract extension at Old Trafford, he could still be replaced as Man Utd’s number one goalkeeper after a catalogue of errors this season.
On the other hand, Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga could both be moved on at Chelsea, while Hugo Lloris is expected to leave Tottenham.
Martinez has kept 13 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, while he boasts a 73.6% save percentage in the division this campaign.
