Sacked for Graham Potter, blowing Bayern's Bundesliga - Tuchel's SHOCKING season
Pound for pound, has there been a manager in Europe who has had a more disastrous season in 2022-23 than Thomas Tuchel?
If Borussia Dortmund win their last two Bundesliga games of the season and clinch the German league title, the answer to that question will surely have to be no.
In the space of less than two months, Tuchel has helped destroy Bayern Munich’s campaign.

Tuchel was a surprise appointment as Bayern’s new manager on March 24 following the shock sacking of Julian Nagelsmann.
At the time of Tuchel’s appointment, Bayern were on course to win the treble.
Now they are set to win nothing.
They were knocked out of the DFB Pokal by Freiburg, eliminated 4-1 on aggregate by Man City in the Champions League quarter-final and have allowed Dortmund the upper hand in the Bundesliga title race.
Should Dortmund win their last two matches of the campaign, they will be champions - ending a 10-year win streak for Bayern.
Tuchel’s record at Bayern so far from 11 games is won five, drawn two and lost four, signaling what a dreadful start it has been in Bavaria. That is more losses than Nagelsmann managed in 37 games this term.
To make matters worse there was also a huge dressing room scandal after Sadio Mane punched Leroy Sane in the face following the defeat in Manchester.

Tuchel’s final days at Chelsea
This form at Bayern mirrors Tuchel’s doomed final days at Chelsea at the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
Tuchel was sacked after Chelsea lost their opening Champions League group game 1-0 at lowly Dinamo Zagreb.
This completed a terrible start to the season, which saw Tuchel win three, draw two and lose two of his first seven games.
After more problems off the pitch in Tuchel’s relationship with owner Todd Boehly, the German was relieved of his duties.
He was replaced by Graham Potter, who endured a terrible time of his own before his own sacking last month.
In total this season, in 18 games that Tuchel has managed, he has won just eight, drawn four and lost six.
These are numbers that are well short of what is expected for such an elite manager and at such big clubs like Chelsea and Bayern.
