With this money, Ben Jacobs, writing for Caught Offside, has confirmed that Arsenal's aim is to complete their three big transfer moves of the summer.

“Their priority is to get Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber done. Success for all three would see them spend close to £200m,” he claimed.

Arsenal closing in on three big transfers

Arsenal are well placed to sign all three players, according to FootballTransfers’ information.

The Gunners are known to be well advanced in talks with West Ham midfielder Rice. Arteta’s club have agreed personal terms with the England international star but are working on an agreement with their London rivals. They are presently working on completing a deal for under £100m.

Jacobs reports that it is in the interests of both clubs to get this deal done quickly because West Ham will want to work in the market, too.

In the case of Havertz, meanwhile, they find themselves in a similar position. A contract with the Germany international has been agreed but Arsenal still have ground to make up with regards their valuation of the player and that of Chelsea. They are presently working to bridge this gap, which could see a fee of around £75m up front.

Finally, the Timber transfer appears to be a little more distant, with both Manchester United and Liverpool having been in the running.

Ajax are holding firm on a valuation of £50m thus far, with Arsenal having previously offered £30m for the Netherlands international.

Completing all three deals would represent a terrific start to the transfer window for Arteta and Arsenal.
