The wingers were part of the club’s relegation last season and there have been discussions with both players over a summer move.

Harrison, who was liked by Newcastle last season, has a release clause of £16million, we are told. It is thought that Englishman would be open to a move as he already has family in the northwest.

We have been informed that Everton are also pushing for Gnonto, though there needs to be a compromise reached over the price of the Italian.

Arsenal had an interest in Gnonto but have seemingly turned their attention elsewhere in recent weeks.

Everton are also one of several Premier League comes keeping an eye on Ainsley Maitland-Niles. The midfielder spent last season on loan at Southampton and is a free agent after coming to the end of his contract at Arsenal.

Tom Davies future

It comes after our story that Tom Davies will head into crunch talks with Everton over his future and it’s FootballTransfers' understanding there is already interest from rival clubs in purchasing the midfielder.

The Englishman, who is out of contract later this month, has been offered fresh terms by his boyhood club but may turn it down in search of game time. It is not clear what the next step will be at this point regarding Davies’ future at the club, but he does have interest from clubs from the Championship and Premier League.

At this stage, the general feeling is that he will leave this month. Everton could find a middle ground with the player, offering a contract that guarantees a suitable amount of appearances for the next campaign. He has only made substitute appearances under Sean Dyche after struggling with injury.

Davies is an academy graduate of Everton, having joined the club at the age of 11. He has played 179 times for the club, but last season might have been his last.
