EXCLUSIVE: Man City still want USMNT star Robinson as Fulham contract talks progress
Manchester City still have Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson on their list of prospective summer signings, FootballTransfers has learned.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with the 25-year-old USA international in the recent past and are still closely monitoring developments regarding his contract talks with the Cottagers.
Robinson, who has 33 caps for the USMNT, is under contract at Fulham until 2024 but if no new deal can be agreed soon, there is a serious prospect of him being sold to prevent him departing as a free agent in a year’s time.

FootballTransfers understands that Robinson’s contract talks are progressing well and should come to a positive outcome, thereby hindering City’s chance of signing the former Everton and Wigan player.
Nicknamed ‘Jedi’, he has played 38 times in all competitions for Fulham last season, including 35 appearances in the Premier League as Marco Silva’s side proved one of the surprising packages of the campaign as they finished in 10th place.
Robinson, who featured in the USA’s chaotic CONCACAF Nations League victory over Mexico earlier this week, has seen his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) shoot up after this terrific campaign. His estimated value presently is €20m, more than doubling in size after he was worth €9.8m in January.
Fulham have reportedly put a €41m (£35m) asking price on the head of the defender, who has previously been linked with Milan and Newcastle.

Robinson’s Milan transfer failure
Indeed, he came close to joining the Rossoneri in 2020 when he was still with Wigan only for him to fail a Transfer Deadline Day medical because of a heart condition that was triggered by having too much caffeine.
“They came to the conclusion that my heart’s sensitive to caffeine and I just needed to cut out coffee,” he explained to the Guardian.
Robinson is unlikely to have such drama this summer, with the American star poised to stay at Fulham, despite the overtures from Guardiola’s treble-winning Man City.
