Man Utd make move for MLS goalkeeper
Manchester United are in the market for a David de Gea successor and have widened their scope with Porto and Inter Milan demanding exorbitant sums for Diogo Costa and Andre Onana respectively.
De Gea won the Premier League's Golden Glove last season after keeping 17 clean sheets, but Erik ten Hag has serious misgivings about the Spaniard's ability with the ball at his feet and is keen to sign a replacement.
De Gea has been offered a new two-year contract at Old Trafford, but with his salary due to drop from £375,000 per week to £200,000 it now looks more likely that United will exercise their one-year option on his current deal before selling him to the highest bidder.

Costa and Onana were previously shortlisted, but the former has a €75m release clause at Porto while Inter Milan are demanding €50m plus bonuses for the latter, who won the Dutch domestic treble under Ten Hag at Ajax in 2019.

Petrovic scouted
And now the Red Devils have reportedly shifted their focus.
"Manchester United are monitoring young goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic," report the Manchester Evening News. "The youngster has a contract until 2025 with a one-year option and his club [New England Revolution] would seek a decent fee for a player they only signed in April last year."

The Revolution signed Petrovic from Serbian top-fight side Cukaricki for just €900,000 last April, but his value has already climbed to €2m per FootballTransfers in-house algorithm after his 13 clean sheets from 41 appearances in MLS.
A hulking 6'4" goalkeeper, Petrovic also now has two caps for his native Serbia.
Although New England would likely demand more for a player whose current contract runs until December 2025 with a club option of one more year, Matt Turner's transfer to Arsenal last July could be instructive - he fetched €6.4M.
