Several clubs are fighting for the signature of Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo.

West Ham United are said to be the latest club to express an interest in the attacker who enjoyed a tremendous campaign on loan at Sunderland. The 20-year-old scored 13 goals in the regular season and found the back of the net once in the playoffs as well, though he couldn't help the Black Cats achieve their dream of returning to the Premier League following their double relegation.

His good form has also seen the youngster's stocks rise again after a disappointing campaign in the wake of his arrival at Manchester United from Atalanta in a big-money deal worth around €21 million.

A poor loan stint at Rangers caused his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) to drop from €13.8 million down to just €1.3m. His value has since recovered and now sits at €5.6m. Such a resurgence has unsurprisingly attracted the interest of several suitors.

Indeed, Diallo is now one of the hottest properties in Manchester and he could be on the move again this summer.

A five-club battle

Chief among those keeping an eye on Amad's development are his parent club, of course. Erik ten Hag has repeatedly spoken about the youngster's loan and how beneficial it has been. He will give the Ivorian a chance to win himself a spot in the first team in pre-season.

Nevertheless, there is a distinct possibility that he will send the 20-year-old out on loan again to get regular minutes. Sunderland would love to take the winger back and give promotion another go, but there are offers from the Premier League and they will likely be more attractive to Diallo as well as Ten Hag.

Everton and newly-promoted Burnley have both been eyeing a move for him for some time and now West Ham have joined the race to sign Diallo too, according to the Northern Echo. United have no intention of letting him go permanently, so all of his admirers will only be able to sign him on loan.
