Manchester United could battle it out with Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Juve’s difficult financial situation has put them in the position of possibly having to offload some star names this summer – and selling Vlahovic ought to raise considerable funds.

The Serie A giants are said to value the Serbian international, 23, at around €90m (£77m) – substantially more than his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €57.76m (£49.5m).

Vlahovic only joined Juve from Fiorentina in January last year, moving for €80m (£69.6m), but his time with the 36-time Italian champions has been underwhelming on the whole.

Having banged in 41 goals in his final two seasons with Fiorentina, the former Partizan Belgrade youngster has found the net a comparatively poor 23 times in 63 appearances for the Bianconeri.

Ongoing fitness issues have hardly helped Vlahovic reach the heights he previously seemed destined to scale, but can justifiably feel somewhat disappointed by the return they’ve got so far from their significant investment.

Man Utd's solution?

And, according to CalcioMercato, Vlahovic’s entourage are hard at work trying to find him a new club this summer.

The 6ft 3in frontman is thought to favour a move to the Premier League – and a switch to Man Utd or Arsenal would provide him with the chance to play Champions League football next term, with points deductions having forced Juve to settle for Europa Conference League qualification.

United’s need for a new centre-forward is far greater than that of Arsenal – who were strongly linked with Vlahovic before his move to Juve – with a new number nine arguably the top priority for Erik ten Hag and co during the current transfer window.
