Man Utd transfer SURPRISE revealed by Fabrizio Romano
Manchester United have been handed a transfer blow by Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that their prospects of signing Napoli defender Min-jae Kim hang in the balance.
United were considered to be leading the race for the 26-year-old South Korea international, who has shone in Serie A this season, but in recent days their prospects of completing a high-profile deal have diminished.
Kim has a clause in his Napoli contract that allows him to leave in the first two weeks of July for €50 million, and while this figure is likely to be triggered, it is increasingly unclear which club will win the race.

Man Utd had been out in front ahead of Newcastle, but Romano has now revealed that Bayern Munich are also in contention for the player.
According to Romano, it is now about these clubs convincing the player which has the best project, but the transfer specialist stressed that there is a “concrete chance” of Bayern landing one of the breakout stars of the season.
Given the uncertain nature of the Old Trafford club’s future because of the Glazers stalling on a takeover decision, it will be difficult for them to argue for Kim in a constructive manner and, as such, the Bundesliga champions are now believed to have the edge in the race.
In reserve, Manchester United have Monaco’s Axel Disasi lined up.

Man Utd pull out of Kane transfer
Manchester United have pulled out of the race to sign Harry Kane, despite manager Erik ten Hag believing him to be the “perfect striker”, Romano reports.
After boardroom meetings, Man Utd have decided to explore other options for two primary reasons. Firstly, they believe Tottenham will be too difficult to negotiate with and, secondly, they believe Kane’s price will be too great with regards their FFP obligations.
Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is being eyed as an alternative.
