Man Utd face surprise new competition for their top striker targets Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

Tottenham star Kane and Napoli sensation Osimhen are high on Erik ten Hag's summer shopping list as he looks to make key signings.

Liverpool and Chelsea are reported to be in the race to sign Nigerian star Osimhen, and we can now add Bayern Munich to that mix. According to Bild journalist Christian Falk the German giants have had talks with Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda.

If that wasn't enough, Falk also says that despite their interest in Osimhen, Bayern's number one target remains the aforementioned Kane.

He says the interest between Bayern and Kane is concrete, and mutual, and that the Germans believe they can get the England star for under £100m.

As for Man Utd, they struggle on in their bid to improve their squad - with that takeover saga (Sheikh Jassim vs Sir Jim Ratcliffe) threatening to derail their entire summer.

There is one silver lining to all this Kane to Bayern talk - reports from Germany suggest it would leave the way open for United to pursue Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani. The French ace would not come cheap though, so expect a lot of haggling over any deal there.

Frenkie de Jong HOPE as Barcelona admit the INEVITABLE

Man Utd's pursuit of Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been almost constant ever since Erik ten Hag took control at Old Trafford, and now it appears there may be new hope.

While de Jong is happy at Barcelona and does not ideally want to leave Camp Nou, the reality is that the Catalan giants are facing extraordinary financial challenges.

This means virtually no player is untouchable when it comes to sales this summer. De Jong included.

According to Barcelona-based journalist Achraf Ben Ayad (via Sport), all options are open for Joan Laporta.

The big problem Barca are facing is an inability to persuade players they no longer way to move on, and an inability to move players out on loan.

The collateral damage of those failures is that the players THEY DO WANT are no longer untouchable - even the ones coach Xavi loves like de Jong.

Yes folks, the saga could be about to resume...

EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd target Pavard as Kim Min-jae alternative

Man Utd are set to lose out to Bayern Munich in the race to sign top defensive target Kim Min-jae. And we can exclusively report that their fallback plan is already a Bayern player.

Jacque Talbot reports that United are targeting French star Benjamin Pavard to fill the slot which had been earmarked for Napoli's South Korean 'Monster'.

Talbot reveals that Erik ten Hag is interested in Pavard and that Bayern would let him go for a fee in excess of €30m.

It's likely United would face competition for his signature though, with the likes of Liverpool and Inter Milan also interested parties.

Man Utd beat Chelsea to sign WONDERKID - Fabrizio Romano

Man Utd are set to beat Chelsea to the signature of England U16 international Harry Amass.

The prodigious Watford left-back – who only turned 16 last month – has yet to make a professional appearance for the Championship outfit, but Premier League clubs have been battling out to secure his services.

And it seems that a deal for Amass to join Man Utd is all but complete – with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reporting that he will sign a four-year contract at Old Trafford.

Rabiot SHOCK as French star set to SNUB Man Utd

Man Utd just can't seem to sign a new midfielder and now it seems we can add France star Adrien Rabiot to the growing list.

The 28-year-old Rabiot has long been pursued by Erik ten Hag, almost making the move to Old Trafford last summer.

It appeared United would get a terrific bargain by capturing Rabiot for free when his Juventus contract runs out later this week. But not so fast.

Now Rabiot, according to respected Turin daily Tuttosport, will stay with the Italian giants after accepting the proposal of a new one-year deal. That is worth €7m net plus bonuses.

This comes just 24 hours after reports said his mother and agent Veronique was considering a proposal from ten Hag and United.

Zidane clause REVEALED as young STARLET moves on

There were howls of anger from the Man Utd fanbase when the club allowed promising midfielder Zidane Iqbal to leave last week for just £850,000.

Iqbal's transfer to Dutch side FC Utrecht had fans questioning the wisdom of selling a youngster like that for so little - but there is more to it than meets the eye.

As well as a sell-on clause in Iqbal's contract, the Mirror reports there is also a buyback clause. So Erik ten Hag can still get a chance to atone if this move turns out to be a mistake by United.

Onana race HOTS UP as De Gea ponders SAUDI MOVE

News from Italy now, which moves on the situation surrounding who will start in goal for Man Utd next season.

According to the highly credible Gazzetta dello Sport, current United goalkeeper David de Gea is pondering a potential move to Saudi Arabia. That would then leave the way for Erik ten Hag to step up his interest in Inter shot stopper Andre Onana.

The stumbling block (of course) for United right now - with that takeover saga rumbling on and the Glazers so far refusing to sell - would be the transfer fee for Onana. Reportedly in the region of £50m.

United of course would get nothing for de Gea, whose contract runs out this week. They would get his massive £375,000 weekly salary off the books though.

Ten Hag and Man Utd eye cut-price Mount ALTERNATIVE

Man Utd are weighing up a bid for Lille star Carlos Baleba as a potential alternative to Mason Mount.

Talks between the Red Devils and Chelsea over a possible deal for Mount seem to have reached an impasse, with the two clubs apparently at odds over the England international’s value.

As such, United could walk away from the negotiating table altogether – so they may have to set their sights elsewhere when it comes to signing reinforcements in the middle of the park.

According to Lille-based newspaper La Voix du Nord, Man Utd intend to table an offer worth just shy of €30m (£25m) for Baleba – who was handed his professional debut for Lille less than a year ago, when he came off the bench to replace former United youngster Angel Gomes.
