‘Breath of fresh air’ – Man Utd fans LOVE Onana’s debut but legend questions new signing
Andre Onana made his Manchester United debut in a 2-0 defeat against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Red Devils went down to Los Blancos as an early goal from Jude Bellingham was added to spectacularly by Joselu late on as Carlo Ancelotti’s new signings proved match winners.
It was not such a happy introduction to Man Utd for Onana, who played the full 90 minutes after arriving at the club in a €52.5 million deal from Inter Milan last week.

Although the Cameroon international was not on the winning side, he nevertheless drew support from Manchester United’s fans, who were pleased to see the shot-stopper looking so comfortable on the ball. The Red Devils had grown used to seeing David de Gea look uneasy whenever he was in possession.
“Onana is just a breath of fresh air, looks so comfortable whenever he has got the ball, what a signing he is going to be for us,” one supporter said.
Another added: “Andre Onana is TOO cozy on the ball, this is wizardry.”

United Faithfuls were also pleased with what they saw, stating: “So impressed with that Onana's performance.
“Build-up, distribution, made some really good saves, and showed leadership qualities at the back.
“Absolutely excited for this top quality signing.”

Onana fired Man Utd warning
While Man Utd’s fans clamour over the former Ajax goalkeeper, legendary Old Trafford striker Andrew Cole is yet to be convinced by the arrival.
“I don't care if you can do 10 kick-ups, a goalkeeper needs to be able to save the ball,” the ex-England striker told MUTV.
Cole’s comments came before the match, which saw Onana lobbed after six minutes and then concede a bicycle kick close to the full-time whistle.
Next up for Onana is a match with Borussia Dortmund on 31 July in Las Vegas.
