‘Done and sealed’ - Romano reveals Arsenal signing fans will LOVE
Arsenal have concluded talks over a new contract for centre-back William Saliba, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Saliba, 22, shone with the Gunners last term as they finished second in the Premier League behind Manchester City.
Indeed, Mikel Arteta’s side were neck and neck with the eventual champions before the Frenchman suffered an injury that many claimed had a significant outcome in the title race.

Curiously peripheral in his first three seasons with the club, which he spent on loan in Ligue 1 with Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille, Saliba’s deal with Arsenal is due to expire in 2024.
Romano reports, however, that he has penned a new four-year contract with the club that will see him at the Emirates until 2027, with the option of a further season.
The football transfer news expert reports that the deal is “finally done and sealed”.

Previously, the agreement had been verbally confirmed by both Saliba and Arsenal, but the player has now signed his contract with the club.
FootballTransfers had previously reported that the much-anticipated agreement had stalled over some minor issues over the clauses in the deal and were not due to the wage demands on the part of the player.
Saliba the latest Arsenal starlet to sign new contract
Arsenal have made strong progress in terms of renewing the contracts of their brightest young players in recent months. Gabriel Martinelli was the first to commit his long-term future to the club, while Bukayo Saka soon followed, despite reported interest from Manchester City.
Now the Gunners’ leading centre-back has joined the trend.
Saliba, who has appeared on eight occasions for the France national team, played 33 times in all competitions for Arsenal in 2022/23, his first among Arteta’s squad, and scored three goals and created a further assist. He notably featured for all but 14 Premier League minutes when he was available.
